This book is of sterling worth to the Sumerian student. It not only gives the cuneiform characters (as well as variants), but it exhaustively jots down exactly how many occurrences of each word. For Akkadian students, it provides the cuneiform characters of the Akkadian words (because Akkadian adopted the Sumerian writing system). They also break down the occurrences of each word to every 500 years starting from 3500 BC to 1000 BC, and jots how many occurrences in each interval.

It is still a little incomplete, but what is there is definitely worth checking out.

Here's a link to the electronic version (ePSD):

Blessings to you in your studies.
