Shalaamu everyone,
For those who are interested in Arabic, a sister language closely allied to Ancient Hebrew, the Arabic-English lexicon by E. W. Lane is of great import. Unfortunately, it has 8 volumes and cost about a couple hundred to over a thousand dollars. However, you may read it online (all volumes) for free on the Tyndale Archive site:

http://www.tyndalearchive.com/tabs/lane/

If you want you can download each volume individually for free here (although it might take up some space on your computer):

Peace and blessings to all.
Shalaamu

Edward William Lane (b. September 17, 1801 and d. August 10, 1876) was a British orientalist. He lived in Egypt for years working on his lexicon on the Arabic language. For me, it is like a man who spent years in the culture of the people, learned their speech and wrote exhaustively on their language (one of the best types of people for that work, in my opinion).

No problem. :thumbup I think what Lane did for his lexicography (staying in their culture for years) is really what makes his about 125 year-old lexicon still famous (in fact, the earliest volumes were started 150 years ago) and the most important source on the Arabic language (in fact, lexicographers of other languages say that his lexicon is the best on any language).
