Hi All,
I have a copy of this book an am reviewing it currently. It may take more time to determine how these finding improve our overall knowledge on language development and the Origins of Hebrew.

Here is the kickstarter project link that funded the making of this book:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/89 ... t-alphabet
___________
The World’s Oldest Alphabet
Hebrew as the Language of the Proto-Consonantal Script
By Douglas Petrovich

From the Introduction by Eugene H. Merrill,
“. . . The breakthrough as to the question of the origins of the alphabet represented in this volume is the fruit of the author’s intensive and extensive research and fastidious attention to detail. His acclaimed expertise in epigraphy, paleography, lexicography, and comparative linguistics and literature has led him to the conviction that of all options one can currently advance as to the ultimate origins of the alphabet, the identification of proto-Hebrew is the very best candidate. . . .”

Very interesting! I wish it were not on kickstarter though, since there is the possibility that it will not be printed. Hopefully it comes out. I see they have exceeded the goal.

Hi Ronen,
I bought my copy from Carta Jerusalem Ronen! I think the kickstarter was just to get it going, but carta did end up printing it.
I wonder if he finished volume 2 yet. :)

This video(recorded in 2017) just came out regarding Douglas Petrovich on his book, as mentioned above. I have 2 copies of this book.
This video is a MUST WATCH for Bible Students. It reveals some great info regarding Hebrew Alphabet Development but also interesting to me is the Biblical tidbits he reveals regarding Joseph's family in Egypt. Really love this!
Thanx Doug for your work!
Shalom,
Matt
